Spring Connections Event

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM at the Ardmore Music Hall
Come out and get connected to Creative MontCo and collaborate with members of the arts community at a fabulous kickoff to the 2014 Creative MontCo Connections Event series with a delicious Mediterranean menu (courtesy of Creative MontCo) and full-service cash bar. The night will feature stimulating conversation, an insightful progress report of our accomplishments to date, a chance to meet and connect with like-minded professionals.
Additionally, Ardmore Music Hall has generously offered 30 complimentary tickets to stay for the post event concert with Tom Rush. Interested in sticking around to see the Tom Rush concert? The first 30 people who register at Eventbrite by March 24th can sign up for a free ticket to the show! Be sure to arrive by 6 pm to claim your concert tickets – otherwise you will forfeit them! You must RSVP through Eventbrite to attend this Connections Event and/or concert. Limited space is available, so don’t hesitate to register.
Creative MontCo is pleased to announce an innovative competition, sponsored by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, PECO, and The Montgomery County Foundation, Inc. for area artists, nonprofits, community organizations, businesses, and inspired individuals that live, work, or serve Montgomery County to redesign a classic newspaper honor box and turn it into public art.
The competition kicks off now, and entry applications can be submitted until February 21, 2014. Applicants can enter the competition free-of-charge – the only costs beings the supplies used for the competition. Better yet, all entries are set to be on display at this year’s Norristown Arts Hill Festival, scheduled for May 3, 2014 – during which they’ll be judged by a local panel (and the crowd attending the festival) who will award prizes to the top contenders.
Interested? Submit our online application and get the guidelines here to start the process to get an honor box. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and all applicants will be notified of their status by February 28, 2014. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s submissions!
